tiberius on segregation ness

The use of AI varies in groups according to their average age.
*AI is a tool. Any tool requires proper methods and work ethics. **Wrongly wielding a tool can lead to disaster.
Groups with older members mix novelty with experience. Their AI adoption is careful, respecting old practices, anticipating problems, being able to detect patterns of success and failure early, before they fully develop. In some cases, AI adoption is delayed by risk aversion. I’m talking about groups who embrace technology, not about AI doomers :)
I’ve recently experienced some youngsters groups. They tend to be maximalists in the use of AI, without being very conscious about potential consequences. A group with lower 20s average age doesn’t have enough experience in organizations, members don’t fully understand how organizations work, how humans behave once they are “forced” together with a shared mission. They can’t detect early signs of destructive pattern formation. They can’t assess costs vs benefits for a new tool or method, in context, and no AI agent can guide them. ***The problem is that their maximalist use of AI leads them to transfer agency to AI for adjusting their course.

*rather.. via mufleh humanity law.. need a ‘tool’ that we use to free us.. need a ‘tool’ to facil the conditions for legit freedom.. need a ‘tool’/means (nonjudgmental expo labeling) to undo hierarchical listening – so we can hear what’s on each heart as global detox in order to org around legit needs

**this has been all of us.. ever since that day

***deeper ‘problem’ is that nothing to date has been for all of us

findings (aka: the things i can’t unsee) from on the ground ness deep dive and why we need tech w/o judgment

ie: the dance won’t dance unless/until it’s 1\ all of us 2\ legit free

nothing to date (ever since that day) has gotten to that root of problem

legit freedom will only happen if it’s all of us.. and in order to be all of us.. has to be sans any form of measuring, accounting, people telling other people what to do

The pattern is: use AI, have AI collect data about impact/effects, if we encounter problems use AI to correct the course.

aka: taleb center of problem law et al

we need a problem deep enough to resonate w/8b today.. via a mechanism simple enough to be accessible/usable to 8b today.. in an ecosystem open enough to set/keep 8b legit free

ie: org around a problem deep enough (aka: org around legit needs) to resonate w/8b today.. via a mechanism simple enough (aka: tech as it could be) to be accessible/usable to 8b today.. and an ecosystem open enough (aka: sans any form of m\a\p) to set/keep 8b legit free

*Organizations are complex processes. They are not cybernetic systems, **they are complex systems. We can’t drive an organization with simple feedback loops. You can’t do it algorithmically, using deterministic programming models, certainly. But you can’t do it using AI either, using non-deterministic computing. The problem is that most people believe that it’s possible. Young people don’t even ask the question.

*to me.. (warning ness).. organizations aren’t legit ‘complex processes’.. they are just manufactured ‘groupings’ in sea world

**if want legit ‘complex system/process’ need to let go. of ‘organization’ ness and get back/to organism as fractal

to tiberius’ focus here – any form of ‘segregation’ has already turned a legit organism into and ‘organization’/group/whatever

You can’t approach a complex reality with tools that have a less degree of complexity..t

to me.. this is huge.. because this is something we actually can and need to do.. if we legit go for organism as fractal as ‘reality’ (nothing to date has been about ‘reality’.. just about sea world).. if we use ‘tools’ for the thing they can do and we can’t.. this is why we need tech w/o judgment

Well, yes, they don’t have experience, they don’t understand the problem, they haven’t even anticipated the problem, so they go back to AI to correct a problem that was probably introduced by a missuse of AI to begin with.

*One advice, call an older experienced person before jumping back to AI. **That older person is a complex being, may be slow computing but ***able to swim in complexity better than AI.
And, shape your environment for a multi-generational organisation.

*again.. to me.. ‘advice’ – call tech as it could be.. aka: nonjudgmental expo labeling.. to facil the seeming chaos of a global detox leap/dance

ie: whatever for a year.. a legit sabbatical ish transition

otherwise we’ll keep perpetuating the same song.. the whac-a-mole-ing ness of sea world.. of not-us ness.. of part\ial ness.. perpetuating survival triage.. for (blank)’s sake..

because **that older person is still just a whale in sea world.. ever since that day

***indeed.. but has to be all of us.. legit free.. for that ‘swim‘ to swim

which tiberius was quote tweeting to himself here[https://x.com/TiberiusB/status/2116958671380877780?a=YWbKbcA3DTW9VVnxYpI&s=20]:

Multi-generational digital environments!

still same song.. as long as any form of m\a\p

I think we have a big problem.

deeper problem – the conditions for us all to be legit free

If you take a walk in the digital sphere, hop from on project to another, from one DAO to another, you’ll find that groups cluster quite strongly by age -> experience, wisdom.
I experienced projects, especially DAOs, web3, where the average age is mid 20s.
Sensorica, clusters around 40 to 60 years old.
This segragation happens not just based on personal interests, or understanding of new technology. The digital environment (i.e. UX), as well as the culture have a big role to play.
For example, in a group centered around mid 20 you feel like in a game. These people grew up playing games, which has determined how they see the world. So you’ll find badges, tokens, quests, various role archetypes, … I was born in 75. Gaming is not my culture. If that’s how you receive me in your project, if you make me jump up and down to catch like Mario to contribute to your venture, I’m out. It’s not my thing. But you’ll be missing experience and wisdom.

will always happen as long as any form of m\a\p

the thing we’ve not yet tried/seen: the unconditional part of left to own devices ness

[‘in an undisturbed ecosystem ..the individual left to its own devices.. serves the whole’ –dana meadows]

how we gather in a space is huge.. need to try spaces of permission where people have nothing to prove to facil curiosity over decision making.. because the finite set of choices of decision making is unmooring us.. keeping us from us..

ie: imagine if we listen to the itch-in-8b-souls 1st thing everyday & use that data to connect us (tech as it could be.. ai as augmenting interconnectedness)

On the other hand, Sensorica is probably missing *new energy and a dose of blind enthusiasm. But probably the young people find our environment boring. Our Discord channels are mainly texts, no flashing and moving stuff, we have boring avatars, there’s no juice, nothing to give you adrenaline and dopamine spikes every 2 minutes to **keep you focused.

*nothing legit new/energized/enthusiastic.. until we get back/to the itch-in-the-soul

**again.. ‘focus’ ness comes from the the it is me ness of the thing we’ve not yet tried/seen: the unconditional part of left to own devices ness

*This segragation is a huge cost ..t to society. We could build important stuff together, faster.

*any segregation (aka: any form of measuring, accounting, people telling other people what to do) is keeping us from us

again.. need to get back/to organism as fractal
