xavier on smart phone ness

We need to decentralize the smartphone.

Every app its own dedicated device that you own forever. No subscription.

Make computing intentional again.

only intention ness to date has been whalespeak (like intentions from whales in sea world)

need 1st/most: phone/tech as nonjudgmental expo labeling to

1\ undo hierarchical listening (hear what’s on each heart so can org around legit needs)

1\ facil the seeming chaos of that global detox leap ..

if we want to get back/to the dance

I’m currently focusing my time, energy and resources on building tools for a regenerative future. How can we give citizens the tools they need to recreate community and rebuild resilience

on tool we need most/1st – why we need tech w/o judgment

I’m primarily funding cooperatives (and digital cooperatives, aka DAOs) that contribute to the commons in the Brussels Bioregion. If you have a project on that theme, feel free to reach out (I’m xdamman on gmail/twitter/telegram/…).

ie: a sabbatical ish transition

Some ideas I’d love to fund and support

A local currency for Brussels, onchain

if currency ing.. not legit free/commoning et al

findings from on the ground ness deep dive on why we need tech w/o judgment

ie: the dance won’t dance unless/until it’s 1\ all of us 2\ legit free

nothing to date (ever since that day) has gotten to that root of problem

legit freedom will only happen if it’s all of us.. and in order to be all of us.. has to be sans any form of measuringaccountingpeople telling other people what to do

We need to reclaim our currency and use transaction fees, demurrage fees and yield to fund a transparent participatory budget. Part of it could be used for regular quadratic funding rounds (think Gitcoin), part of it could be used for Retroactive Public Good Funding (RPGF). Current experiment: https://dao.brussels/zinne

rather.. need to let go of currency ness et al.. of any form of m\a\p.. and focus on the conditions for all of us to be legit free..

I’d love to fund another experiment, to create a local stable coin (EURb) with a demurrage fee that would kick in after a year (i.e. money spent within 12 months is not taxed, but after, a 1% monthly fee for non using the money goes back to feed the participatory budget. This solves the issue of people losing their wallet, as money on those lost wallets would slowly go back to the main pool, but it also makes sure that we tap into the collective intelligence to allocate our common resources. If you have taken too much money from the pot, the community will (slowly) take it back and reallocate it collectively).

imagine if a global detox leap would kick in after a year..

we need a problem deep enough to resonate w/8b today.. via a mechanism simple enough to be accessible/usable to 8b today.. in an ecosystem open enough to set/keep 8b legit free

ie: org around a problem deep enough (aka: org around legit needs) to resonate w/8b today.. via a mechanism simple enough (aka: tech as it could be) to be accessible/usable to 8b today.. and an ecosystem open enough (aka: sans any form of m\a\p) to set/keep 8b legit free

A Citizen Hub

We need a place to meet regularly, organise workshops. Ideally it has room for coworking, second hand shop, GASAP, Repair Café, podcast studio, co-living upstairs with regulars and guests who could stay.
It has to be super well located (location, location, location).

update: we found a place! See https://commonshub.brussels

valley of the commons ness et al

DAO.Brussels

How can we use the new coordination tools of web3 to create a more participative and regenerative city for all citizens?
https://dao.brussels

wherever.. we need to try something not yet tried.. ie: ie: whatever for a year.. a legit sabbatical ish transition

otherwise we’ll keep perpetuating the same song.. the whac-a-mole-ing ness of sea world.. of not-us ness.. of part\ial ness..  perpetuating survival triage.. for (blank)’s sake..
