imperative 21
great words (big bold – imperative).. but after a little digging (small print – capitalism – and video below).. listening.. not sure they mean legit system change.. (hope i’m wrong)
imperative: of vital importance; crucial.
capitalism: an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.
ie: imperative is that we take this virus opp to leap.. for (blank)’s sake.. let go of money (any form of measuring/accounting)
first tweet i read after adding this page:
Millions of people just lost their jobs. Tomorrow, rent is due for many of them. But a lot of people who lost their jobs also lost their healthcare, and there’s a pandemic happening, which is why they lost their jobs. Do they pay for an insurance extension or rent? What a system!
Original Tweet: https://twitter.com/meaganmday/status/1245136271380377600
let go of the system.. not just part of it
from site
capitalism must work for all of us and for the long term .. align incentives and shift culture so capitalism works for benefit of all stakeholders
that can’t/won’t happen.. will they listen to legit alt’s?
Systems change will require unprecedented collaboration.
ie: 2 convers as infra via tech as it could be..
Imperative 21 is a business-led network of coalitions that believes the imperative of the 21st century is to reimagine and redesign our economic system so its purpose is to create value for all stakeholders.
The six founding partners include
1\ B Lab (certifier of B Corporations), https://bcorporation.eu/about-b-lab
A historic global culture shift is underway to harness the power of business to help address society’s greatest challenges.
that would be getting to the energy of 8b alive people..
2\ The B Team, https://bteam.org/
richard branson (founder); christiana figueres – in new story for humanity doc; arianna huffington; muhammad yunus; ..
3\ Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP), https://cecp.co/about/

a force for good in society4\ Coalition for Inclusive Capitalism, https://www.inc-cap.com/about/
We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the Inclusive Capitalism movement.
5\ Conscious Capitalism, https://www.consciouscapitalism.org/
Elevating Humanity through Business
yeah.. i don’t know if that can happen..
if we really care about humanity.. we need to let go of money (any form of measuring/accounting)
6\ JUST Capital. https://justcapital.com/
JUST what the world needs
what world needs most: the energy of 8b alive people
The world needs more just companies. Companies that believe in fair pay and equal treatment for all workers. Companies that create good jobs and understand the value of strong communities.
strong communities let go of earn a living mentality.. and jobs ness
Companies that are committed to a healthy planet. JUST Capital measures and ranks companies on the issues Americans care about most so you can then act on that knowledge. With your voice, your purchase decisions, your investment dollars, your career choices, your leadership, you have the power to make the world a more just place.
wow.. (i’m obviously in the wrong place.. ? or no..?)
let’s do this first: free art-ists.
there’s a nother way
JUST Capital was co-founded in 2013 by a group of concerned people from the world of business, finance, and civil society – including Paul Tudor Jones II, Deepak Chopra, Rinaldo Brutoco, Arianna Huffington, Paul Scialla, Alan Fleischmann, and others. By establishing the organization as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) registered charity, the founders ensured that JUST Capital would be exclusively geared towards achieving its mission.
The mission of JUST Capital is to build an economy that works for all Americans by helping companies improve how they serve all their stakeholders – workers, customers, communities, the environment, and shareholders. We believe that business and markets can and must be a greater force for good, and that by shifting the resources of the $19 trillion private sector, we can address systemic issues at scale, including income inequality and lack of opportunity. Guided by the priorities of the public, our research, rankings, indexes, and data-driven tools help measure and improve corporate performance in the stakeholder economy.
yeah.. let’s try different data.. ie: self-talk as data.. to augment our interconnectedness.. not to profit a not for profit.. et al
Altogether, our networks comprise more than 72,000 businesses across 80 countries and 150 industries, representing more than 18 million employees, $6.6 trillion in revenues, $21.2 billion in social investment, and $15 trillion in assets under management, reaching hundreds of millions who are increasingly eager to vote every day with their purchases, investments, and employment decisions.
Together, and with others, we will support business and finance leaders who are ready to turn bold promises of a new corporate purpose into meaningful actions to lead for the long term, measure what matters, and manage with stakeholder governance.

yeah.. ie: bachelard oikos law et al as econ of common\ing et al sans money (any form of measuring/accounting)
Every social and environmental problem the Skoll community is trying to solve around the world requires not only breakthrough direct actions, but also changes in the incentives and culture that drive economic behavior.
red flags we’re doing it wrong: focus on incentives, drive, behavior.. et al
How can we bring many streams into one mighty river that can change the landscape?
focus on 2 basic needs via 2 convers as infra

We don’t have all the answers yet, but we’re rolling up our sleeves, asking the hard questions and taking action with some of the most powerful organizations working toward creating an economic system that works for all stakeholders.
perhaps answer lie in not going with ‘most powerful orgs’.. and creating system that works for everyone – has to be everyone or it won’t work

next email invite is to complete a survey – which only takes apart their statements (of draft for co creation) and allows you do suggest changes to wording line by line (1 and 2 aren’t bad.. but the rest) .. hard to do that when you don’t agree with the assumptions of ie: taxes, tariffs, fiscal reg, business, investments, pensions, insurance, owners, incentives, duty..
also in comments from people: ‘in response to our invitation to co-creation (see below), one ally responded by saying: ‘Essentially, all of us allies are finally gathering around the same campfire;’
thinking about dave’s campfire analogy .. and that i think we miss the boat by thinking we have to host/lead/join anything..
