My contention here, however, is that the most basic right—the right that makes all other rights possible—is the right to quit.

agree with most all.. though not so much with institutional assumptions (ie: school, work, consensus, decision making,..).. i think if we’re free to quit (aka: do whatever we want – in a rat park).. those institutions become irrelevant..
