for many people today singualarity means technological singularity
The technological singularity is the hypothesis that accelerating progress in technologies will cause a runaway effect wherein artificial intelligence will exceed human intellectual capacity and control, thus radically changing civilization in an event called the singularity. Because the capabilities of such an intelligence may be impossible for a human to comprehend, the technological singularity is an occurrence beyond which events may become unpredictable, unfavorable, or even unfathomable.

i do believe we are near an unpredictable, unfathomable, yet very favorable time..
a time where we reclaim time. we remember why we craved efficiency/tech in the first place – in order to free us up. so rather than being ongoingly obsessed with the consumerism aspect of progress, we use tech/progress for humanity/betterness.
ie: you no longer spend your day inspecting me and i no longer spend my day jumping through hoops for or hiding from you.. all for the benefit.. at the end of the day.. of earning a living. which is used to acquire/pay off debt.
perhaps singularity for humanity is about a global systemic change.. where many man-made technologies (ie: money, work, school, war, security, meetings, events, …) become irrelevant, as we converge back to the simplicity of living a day.
us becoming singular/free as we shed so many things we’ve just assumed had to be.
because now we can. now all of us can. if all of us do.
it’s the all-of-us ness.. and the as-the-day ness.. i see as the singularity.
lifelogging ness happens.. as you follow/listen-to your day/whimsy. everything blurs into life.
instead of spending our time prepping/training/translating for just-in-case ness, we simply/deeply live our time. eudaimoniative surplus style. as enough.
