model another way
take walking.
visible evidence of something we learned without a roadmap.
we learn to walk by watching others model it.
we practice/play with that.
until we get it.
– – –
just imagine we found out walking was no longer moving us.
no longer boding us well.
– – –
then imagine we found a nother way.
– – –
wouldn’t we need to model that.
so that no one was left out of learning/doing/being it.
so that assumed basics/pre-req’s (of say: reading/writing/arithmetic/ged ness) weren’t keeping anyone/anywhere from accessing it right now.
so that this other way was as learn\able as learning to walk.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
just imagine we found out the way we are running (walking) the world today is no longer moving us.
no longer boding us well.
imagine we started seeing the systems (money, health, education, environment, justice, politics, ..) we had created/accepted/perpetuated – as themselves – run a muck.
– – –
then imagine we found a nother way.
– – –
wouldn’t we need to model that.
so that no one was left out of learning/doing/being it.
so that assumed basics/pre-req’s (of say: reading/writing/arithmetic/ged ness) weren’t keeping anyone/anywhere from accessing it right now.
– – –
if something is truly basic/essential..
perhaps we should realize its perpetuation won’t come from a book/mandate/vote/regulation/course.
if all of us.. 99 and 1 of us.. need to get something..
shouldn’t/wouldn’t it be simple enough to be accessible/useful by all.
– – –
let’s model/prototype that.
life – via the roadmap already written on each heart.
in an ecosystem big/eclectic enough to reach us all.
like a city set free.
– – –
ridiculous?
floofy?
take a breath. look around.
ridiculous is what we are swimming in now.
– – –
let’s model another way.
no?
we can’t not.
we know too much to not give it a try.

from radical econ (d&c) and what ness – Graeber model law:
1:19 – D: you’ll never ever be able to convince a person through logical argument or even brilliant rhetoric that a free and just society is possible. you can show them. you can start doing it. all of a sudden, when people’s horizons change.. conversations will change.
1:20 – D: it really has to do with your sense of horizons and possibilities.. and the only way you can do that is to do something that nobody thought was possible..

If children started school at six months old and their teachers gave them walking lessons, within a single generation people would come to believe that humans couldn’t learn to walk without going to school.
