4 min – art is a good way to understand what we’re wrestling with in the present.. engaging w/art a very powerful way of transforming our own subjectivity.. of thinking/imagining about ourselves differently.. it gives us permission to engage w our senses in radically diff ways.. catalyst for social transformation..t

5 min – preamble for saying.. sci fi gives us permission to run wild w/diff possibilities.. le guin et al.. give us permission to imagine world going in diff direction from way it’s been.. capitalism to way we’ve been ransacking our environ.. they give us a diff vision for what’s possible..
6 min – to live diff when it comes to econ and our relationships w place.. org’d by water ways rather than nation states.. how to enact this in our present..t

7 min – a course correction.. we’ve been so uni directional when comes to the progress narrative.. not just sending us back.. but coming back home..t looks like a reversal.. so i look at movements that have to do w bio regional ism.. getting our hands in the dirt.. a grounded ness of theory..
again.. bachelard oikos law et al.. no more unauthorized home less ness
8 min – bio regional turn also called the regenerative turn.. there’s aliveness there.. has to do w/a regrounding of our senses.. a new relationship w rhythmic time/place.. a type of living that is embodied and not just abstract.. we’ve been hovering above the ground.. not really in contact.. that renewed sense of sense ful ness is a lot of what this mutation is concerned with
9 min – what does it mean to weave the last 10 000 years back into relationship.. a regrounding in our history

we’re not exactly stuck .. but are at a moment to begin to bend a diff way.. that’s not an answer to how we get unstuck.. but if think about selves in longer view.. there are iterations of this happening before and possibilities for it to happen again..
