A civilisation cannot meaningfully transform itself while remaining captive to the conditions through which it perceives reality, determines value and understands what is possible.

The crucial task therefore lies upstream of technological innovation, economic organisation and institutional reform – in cultivating the relational, epistemic, ethical and material conditions that shape how we perceive reality, recognise value and understand what is possible.

Civilisational transformation *is not principally about producing better answers within our existing possibility-space. It is about cultivating the living conditions through which the possibility-space itself can change.
