semi-conductor
_______
A semiconductor material has an electrical conductivity value falling between that of a conductor, such as copper, and an insulator, such as glass. Semiconductors are the foundation of modern electronics. Semiconducting materials exist in two types – elemental materials and compound materials.[1] The modern understanding of the properties of a semiconductor relies on quantum physics to explain the movement of electrons and holes in a crystal lattice.[2] The unique arrangement of the crystal lattice makes silicon and germanium the most commonly used elements in the preparation of semiconducting materials. An increased knowledge of semiconductor materials and fabrication processes has made possible continuing increases in the complexity and speed ofmicroprocessors and memory devices.

shortage of chips.. 14 min video – jun 2010 – Companies Losing 100s of Billions – Global Chip Shortage – [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeN3oQx-o68]
6 min – pitting bitcoiners against gamers
8 min – hoarding chips.. creating fake demand.. wait times rising in past 6-8 months
9 min – hard to tell real demand from over hoarding.. could cause a massive over correction.. happened in 2017.. ended up w huge amt of chips w no where to put them
this is our systemic problem.. 8b people not grokking enough ness..
we need a means to undo our hierarchical listening
11 min – perfect storm – people w extra money sitting at home (pandemic).. new cars demanding more.. et al..
