what is education?
The common definition:
The wikipedia definition:
Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching, training, research, or simply through autodidacticism.

Perhaps the idea/definition grows as we learn more about people. What if that knowing, is too big to know. What if there is no set answer for basics/standardization? Perhaps we go back to its root. Perhaps we help ourselves re-imagine it. Perhaps we redefine it, so that it, whatever it is, is equitable – everyone (has to be everyone – not just ie: kids in schools) gets a go at it.
Perhaps we focus on this:
The word education is derived from the Latin “educare” which literally means “to draw forth from“.
Perhaps tech can help us today, to draw forth – the curiosities – from within each person.
Perhaps the greater risk is what we’ve been considering – playing it safe. Obsessions with – just in case ness – and – getting in ness ie: supposed to’s.. of school/work.. Perhaps we no longer take our chances with so many brilliant souls.
Instead find/see the Jack-ness in every single person, via a global systemic change.
if equity is everyone getting a go every day.. redefining public education becomes revolution of everyday life.. aka: global equity

If we begin to understand the individual directly instead of looking at him through the screen of what we think he should be, then we are concerned with what is. Then we no longer want to transform the individual into something else; our only concern is to help him to understand himself, and in this there is no personal motive or gain. – Krishnamurti

Important point: If education is imposed as a need, this means it is being used as an exclusionary device or a prerequisite to be able to make a living. Lack of consent and enclosure of what used to be freely accessible are key in the creation of poverty and inequality. 1/ https://t.co/0DjiBrQWHT (http://twitter.com/ecomentario/status/1200195656285147146?s=17)The fact that our educational systems undermine the confidence of countless human beings to be and to learn according to their own authentic selves and without instruction, evaluation, coercion and control means that they are abusive in and of themselves.
