david on utopia

2 min video clip from 2009? – David Graeber utopian thinking gets a bad rap

1 min – when people say .. what do people really want for another type of system.. maybe the question is.. what would we have to do to put people in a position where they can decide for themselves.. t

huge.. let’s do that

ie: a nother way

not even decide (ie: spinach or rock ness).. but rather.. just be curious.. everyday.. then use that data to connect us locally.. ie: curiosity over decision making.. because decision making is unmooring us

imagine if we just focused on listening to the itch in 8b souls.. first thing.. everyday.. and used that data to connect/coord us.. we might just get to a more antifragile, healthy, thriving world.. the ecosystem we keep longing for.. the energy of 8b alive people

doing that would be absolutely revolutionary.. t

revolution: instigating utopia everyday – michael hardt

in terms of utopianism.. there’s a bad wrap in people trying to imagine alts.. i think there’s no harm in it.. utopias are bad if they get auto weapons.. just when the theory gets guns that there’s a problem.. if we’re not going to get weapons.. then the more utopias the better.. more material to work with

There’s no harm in imagining alternatives, I’m not saying because totalising systems don’t really exist that we shouldn’t sit around thinking about them, I think we should . . . Utopias are only bad if they get automatic weapons, you know!“
