This is interesting.  I’ll refer to it in a talk I’m planning to give to Young Learners and MultiMOOC electronic village online sessions this Jan 26 (2014).  All are welcome: http://learning2gether.pbworks.com/w/page/32206114/volunteersneeded#SunJan261400gmtMultiMOOCandYLTSIGEVOsessionsjointevent

Connectivism MOOC (George Siemens, Stephen Downes) intro session – What Empowers You

2 min in – George – on empowered coming from a place/space of not knowing..

guru-ness and expertise – non-empowering

vagueness/fuzziness

when asked for clarity/precision/authority/simplicity/certainty – if we become more precise, we become less certain..

6:50 – george – hate being forced

greater sense of empowerment comes from people being able to go out and make their own choices in spaces where there are diversity of options.. (empowerment of individuals – not possible in a lecture/classroom setting..)

finding the bravery to change your mind everyday ness – very chaotic

and very chaordic – if we learn to let go and dance..
