intro’d via Maria.. esp ie: rilke love one another law:

For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.  – Rilke

though i don’t believe in tasks, tests, proof, prep.. i do believe love is the movement

adding page while reading Daniel Wahl‘s designing regen cultures.. because first chapter header quote:

rainer maria rilke (1903): ‘have patience w everything unresolved in your heart and do try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. the point is to live everything. live the question now. perhaps then, someday in the future, you will gradually, w/o even noticing it, liver your way into the answer

René Karl Wilhelm Johann Josef Maria Rilke (4 December 1875 – 29 December 1926), better known as Rainer Maria Rilke (German: [ˈʁaɪnɐ maˈʁiːa ˈʁɪlkə]), was a Bohemian-Austrian poet and novelist. He is “widely recognized as one of the most lyrically intense German-language poets”. He wrote both verse and highly lyrical prose. Several critics have described Rilke’s work as inherently “mystical”. His writings include one novel, several collections of poetry and several volumes of correspondence in which he invokes haunting images that focus on the difficulty of communion with the ineffable in an age of disbelief, solitude and profound anxiety. These deeply existential themes tend to position him as a transitional figure between the traditional and the modernist writers.
