my claim is that there are unconventional minds all around us.. but we are generally blind to all of them.. and we are just beginning to develop the tools both practical and mentally conceptual tools allowing us to even think about these things which most people find very difficult.. i think if we can’t get that straight.. the chances of actually detecting/communicating with an extraterrestrial intell are zero.. we are not going to be able to do that if we can’t even do it w the intell here on own planet..

my personal expectation.. the universe is full of interesting minds to communicate with in all kinds of weird scales/embodiments/whatever.. but we are basically blind to all of it as of now.. we need to improve that situation

need 1st/most: means to undo our hierarchical listening to self/others/nature as global detox/re\set.. so we can org around legit needs

step 1 – a very practical application.. is communicating with your body organs.. being able to communicate w your liver.. how are you doing.. which goals not met.. what do you need.. these basic things.. people think it’s crazy.. but for the exact same reason we attribute cognition to each other.. we have to take very seriously that .. a version of it.. not the same.. not going to talk about movies/tech.. you have to talk about the things it cares about.. which is navigating physiological space.. it’s a relatively high dimensional space working at scales that we don’t understand

when body says no et al.. back to not yet scrambled ness..

we need tools to be able to communicate w these things.. so these are active projects in my group.. talking to tissues/cells/gene-regulatory-networks.. some people are making tools to talk to whales/dophins.. but there are lots of much weirder things to talk to and we’re developing those tools..

there’s a legit use of tech (nonjudgmental exponential labeling) to facil the seeming chaos of a global detox leap/dance.. for (blank)’s sake..

if we can’t even wrap our heads around that .. we’re going to have real problems with really really alien intells
