Why we should shred our diplomas | TEDxSFU
(simon fraser uni)
thy myth of education says that knowledge is scarce and we have to go to a school to attain that knowledge
i hallucinated my way into thinking that my students needed to come to me in order to learn..
way that the myth of school continues: 1) teachers like me 2) textbooks (bookbooks) 3) diploma
my students tell me that uni is not where they learn the most
these days we have our own version of the apartheid passbook – mot legal to discriminate against race.. but legal to discriminate against ed.
symbolic protest.. of the myth of schooling
please lose faith with me.
let’s tell a different story.
schools create dependency
