i have seen the absolute worst of what we as human beings are capable of doing to one another.. and yet i still believe a different outcome is possible..
why – i have come to understand that there are aspects of this problem that we can change.. not through force/coercion/invasion.. but by choosing options that favor peace at the expense of war instead of war at the expense of peace..
800 mill small arms..today… ak47 as little as $10… easier to get access to auto rifle than clean water..
can anything be done about this..
6 million – more than 40 mill people died
most of the people dying in war are living in poor countries.. most of the people profiting from war.. are living in rich countries…
80% of those/all weapons come from the 5 permanent members of un security council plus germany
small arms anywhere are a menace everywhere.. because their first stop is never their last
we can make different choices here.. war is ours.. we buy it.. sell it.. spread it .. and wage it.. we are therefore not powerless to solve it.. we are the only ones who can..
