Mycelium is the vegetative part of the mushroom. It’s an underground network that connects to the root systems of trees, plants and other mycelial webs. This underground network is intelligent and actually transfers information and nutrients across the forest floor to maintain the health and vitality of the host ecosystem.

The Mycelium School weaves a living network of people committed to activating their fullest potential and creating actionable solutions to the challenges and opportunities of our times. We are an education experiment, providing a necessary alternative for people of all ages who are dedicated to learning and who want to be in relationship with each other. The Mycelium Learning Journey is a platform that supports participants to accelerate learning, connect to a network of doers and reach their potential with greater efficacy.

THE HOW

This mostly virtual program combines self-designed and community supported learning as participants spend 12 weeks focusing their attention on a core question or initiative. They collaborate with a learning coach, a practice group and a customized personal advisory board that also support them as they move from their current state towards their desired state. The ultimate aim is that throughout the process (the Journey), participants develop skills, connections and relevant experiences, while also developing the accountability needed to activate their fullest potential to do the work (and live the life) they are here to do.

A Learning Journey is a 12-week self-designed and community supported program that assists you in doing your work in this world. You have the support of diverse thought leaders, a personal advisory board, a dedicated learning coach, and other peers on the journey. The aim is to link you with the people and experiences you need to bring your work to the world more quickly, dynamically and with greater perspective.

Learning Journeys are accessible virtually. They are open to all ages. They allow participants to learn what they need at a pace that works for their lives. And most significantly, they are an expression of the mycelium metaphor – an agile, interconnected network of humans learning and creating together.
