During the month of November, Activate McCoppin is is temporarily activating the McCoppin Hub, at the intersection of Valencia and McCoppin Streets in San Francisco and transforming it into a social hub. Currently, the site serves as a parking lot and bike path linking the Mission to Upper Market. While at the center of the vibrant surrounding neighborhoods of SOMA, Hayes Valley, and the Mission, the McCoppin Hub has long struggled with a number of challenges—vagrancy, litter, and drugs but because of it’s proximity to so many neighborhoods, community organizations, and vibrate businesses, has so much potential.
