I don’t know if this will be possible, given the speed and liquidity of open source AI development, but if it is, then this is a tidy example of something I have been arguing for some time: Geotechnologies will precede and determine the formation of the geopolitics required to orient them.
Changes in governance will come about through the implementations of technologies that require those changes. The same will be true of planetary climate governance, once hemispherical decarbonization technologies really kick in.
The fixation on “The Political” preceding governance, and governance preceding technology in the supply chain theory of change was, is, and forever will be wrong.
unless we try ai as something legit diff (what it’s best at).. ie: nonjudgmental exponential labeling.. as a means to facil global detox/reset.. making everything else (and all the preceeding ness es) irrelevant
