WHO IS PROPRIUS FOR?
We serve Middle School and High School-aged students who come from a variety of family needs: families who might like to homeschool but cannot because of job demands; homeschooling families looking for support and community opportunities for their student; families at their wits-end who need a viable alternative because their student is miserably failing in school; the unschooling family looking for support and resources; gifted and twice-exceptional who don’t “fit in” a traditional setting, but who are motivated and know what they want; the student who just HATES school, but you know can do great things if given the opportunity…. What’s your need?
IS PROPRIUS A SCHOOL?
No, Proprius is not a school. We help our members register as homeschoolers with the district of their residence (this is necessary only for students 16 and younger). As a homeschooler, they may be required, depending on the district and their age, to submit a learning plan to the district. We help them do that as well. Registered as homeschoolers, our members are not subject to attendance requirements or truancy laws, which allows them to be much freer with how and where they learn.Proprius operates by membership fees for services. Our monthly membership fee is $400. We are open to conversations of fee assistance, as long as our Sponsorship Fund is healthy. We operate year-round, so you may enroll at anytime.
