we seem to have a proliferation of ineffective protest..
how do we escape this situation..
revolution – a change of legal regime.. when you make something was once legal illegal, or vice versa..
occupy ws.. we wanted to change the law around money and politics.. wanted to make it illegal to give money to politics
revolution is interaction between human and natural world.. almost all activism fall in category of volunteerism (1st option)
human action creates change..
2nd option… structuralism… activism doesn’t involve humans at all.. ie: food prices caused by climate change..
?
third option – human process .. but doesn’t involve material realm at all.. it’s a change of mind
4th – spiritual process – intervention of divine forces
now – we need to break the script of protest…
