language models

via google:

Language learning models, also known as large language models (LLMs), are artificial intelligence (AI) programs that use machine learning to understand, generate, and interpret human language. LLMs are trained on large amounts of data to predict and generate plausible language. They do this by estimating the probability of a word or sequence of words occurring in a longer sequence. For example, a language model can predict the most likely next word in a sentence based on the previous word.

Small language models are designed to perform well for simpler tasks, are more accessible and easier to use for organizations with limited resources and they can be more easily fine-tuned to meet specific needs.

What is the difference between SLM and llm?

Computing power and resources.

Because of the large data sets and parameter sizes, LLMs consume a LOT of computing resource to train and run the models. SLMs use far less (still a lot, but less), making them a more sustainable option

for a sustainable sea world.. neither are sustainable for a legit free people world
