ferrial adam (@ferrial_adam) (africa & arab regional team leader 350 dot org) (http://www.greenpeace.org/africa/en/News/Blog/Ferrial-Adam/): civil disobedience brings a spotlight to the violence and oppressive states of industries… the civil diso in africa during apartheid yrs defied all apartheid laws.. really strong because happened .. everywhere… everybody found aspects of apartheid laws that affected them and then used some kind of mech to defy it… it takes time..and you have obstacles.. but i really don’t think there’s any fight we cannot win.. if.. we have the numbers

imagine something deep enough for 7 bn (ginorm small numbers) to resonate with

jan 2015 – Global Conference 2014 – Interview

accept *diversity for change.. use that diversity to **actualize/mobilize where we are..

*idiosyncratic ness.. via **hosting-life-bits via self-talk as data

same as with gender.. climate change needs to be center.. it affects everything we do

gotta take this binary/silo ness.. to the limit of infinity..  a nother way… deep enough

i don’t think it’s resonating in this continent.. how these things affect people.. we need to not keep having meetings.. we’ve been criticizing govt about that.. but doing it ourselves.. and we need to have *action plans..

*begs to be very simple then.. with 100% trust

we can’t leave here with another secretary to say.. when’s the next meeting

Ferrial is an energy and climate change campaigner, focusing on nuclear energy. For her, working for Greenpeace Africa has made real the fact that you don’t have to be huge and powerful to challenge the polluting corporations and governments and that sometimes the more significant change can come from the less powerful.
