notes/quotes from 90 second video clip:

when you understand that everything is always changing.. everything looks different from different perspectives.. uncertainty is the rule.. and that uncertainty shouldn’t be scary.. because nobody knows.. not only that but whatever events occur.. you’re in charge of interpreting them to make them positive/negative or neutral.. so you don’t have to worry about these terrible things happening

but so if you’re mindful that means you understand this uncertainty and the anxiety you experience is based on certain certainties.. the assumption that something is going to happen and when it happens it’s going to be awful

two things.. first.. the assumption is that something is going to happen.. well.. prediction is an illusion.. so give yourself 3-5 reasons why it won’t happen.. so you’ve gone from it’s going to happen to maybe it won’t

the second is now let’s assume it does happen.. how is that actually an advantage..

and when you master that.. and you know that these things that the world is telling you is terrible.. are only terrible if you perceive them as such.. then you’re not scared of anything.. whatever happens you’re fine because you’re going to make it fine
