alaa murabit

intro’d to Alaa via her tedwomen 2015 – What my religion really says about women
on the importance of being at the table..
religiously prohibited and culturally inappropriate were used interchangeably
the decision maker – is sitting at the table.. and unfortunately religious institutions are driven by men
i decided to use their defense as my offense…
how were we able to do this… i used scripture.. ie: do not let your brother oppress another…
policies changed… showing un using same principles as in our book..
it is not easy challenging distorted religious messaging…
be and remain at the table
yes… let’s do the table thing rather than the war thing.. no?
