Atenea is an undergraduate Pedagogy student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, one of the largest public universities in Latin America. Her work at various non-governmental organizations on issues of Human Rights and Citizenship as well as #YoSoy132 (also called Mexican spring), a short but intense young social movement in 2012, inspired her to co-found Diálogos AC, a national NGO that seeks to build democracy and promote youth empowerment through dialogue and understanding.
What matters to you?
Public and non-formal education, young students and youngsters who were excluded from the school system. Building a just and free society through deliberative education and dialogue, everywhere, all the time.
