..the impregnable, hermetic way class and power work in America. In private rooms, around tables full of expensive food, middle-aged white men agree to help each other out. They write complimentary books about each other, they introduce each other to people who can cut seven-figure checks, and they trade yet more invitations to other, even more private rooms..

also from this image Arwa Mboya paints of sitting in a room for 15 min with a clock ticking down..  reminding you of the time you have to give your pitch:

My friend and student Arwa Mboya (@RuMboya) published a strong, brave and smart piece in The Tech today demanding that Joi Ito resign: https://t.co/Hm0TSx1jJK

what we need is tech imaginative enough (arwa’s focus tech/imagination) to listen to every voice everyday.. in spaces where people have nothing to prove.. a place they can truly express/hear themselves.. that’s the only way we’ll get to global fittingness

ie: tech as it could be..

a means to undo our hierarchical listening

also read this tweet from Jillian same day and added deep lab page while looking more into her because of this tweet (and while reading p moskowitz‘s case against free speech):

Want to talk to me about why (and how!) you believe in free expression? Hit me up, would love to interview you. (http://twitter.com/jilliancyork/status/1167405595810566144?s=17)

i think the start of free expression is acknowledging the diff between curiosity and decision making.. and setting people free enough to go with daily curiosity  ie: cure ios city

it’s not free expression just because ie: you can hear me; i get to choose between a finite set of choices; i feel freer than i was; ..

Because the complicity goes all the way up, these problems require people with great power to fix them.

Joi Ito has the humility to understand that change is imperative…t

perhaps we take this opp to go even deeper than mit/money.. and focus on a means to listen to every voice everyday.. ie: 2 convers as infra via tech as it could be
